Registrars Committee – Western Region Grants

We are proud to announce our grants! For 2025-2026 we have three grants: Our Inaugural Grants (sponsored by Cookes Crating and ArtTech); our 2025-2026 Emergency Grants; and our Annual 2026 Grants.

Inaugural Grants

Grant proposal projects must be collections based. Our grants are advanced payment.

  • Max $1,000 budget.
  • What kinds of projects do we fund? Almost everything; including but not limited to preservation, access, digitization, and maintenance.
  • We fund partial projects as well as complete projects. E.g. you have a large scale rehousing that $1,000 will only fund part of, that’s okay.
  • No cost-share!
  • One Principal Investigator must be a member of RC-WR (does not have to be primary PI). PI cannot be from an institution that currently sits on the RC-WR Board and/or the Granting Committee.
  • Some form of product must be done by September 19, 2025 (completion not required).
  • Must be able to provide two images showing the work that may be used by RC-WR for promotional purposes.
  • Grant Close-Out to include: 1,000 word limited report. At least two photos that RC-WR can use for promotional purposes. Final budget report. Any receipts if possible.

Applications due June 30th, 2025. Application: 1,000 word limited narrative, timeline, and budget.
